Photo of the Week 4 - The Young and the Old

This week’s Photo of the Week:

The Young and the Old

Cuddly elephants. The one on the left is the first toy that we’ve been given for the baby; the one on the right is a toy that I’ve had since I was a baby. I used to call my elephant Dumbo, but I’m afraid of baiting Disney’s lawyers so I’ve renamed him Aloysius Snuffleupagus.

A belated photo of the week again (at this point you know they’re probably all going to be late, right?). This time it’s a photo of my sister, Carole, who headed to Australia for ten months last Wednesday.

The pic was taken at last week’s Christening, which I’ve already mentioned below.

Carole’s first stop is in Tokyo, where she spends a week before flying on to Oz to meet up with Padraig, her boyfriend. Padraig started his own world tour last October, spending a few months in South America where he was poisoned by Bolivians, before moving on to New Zealand where he jumped out of an aeroplane and bumped into a family from Athboy (who may or may not have tried to poison him).

Best of luck for the next few months guys!

Eoin’s Christening

Monday, January 14th, 2008

Yesterday, Sunday 13th January, was Eoin’s Christening. It was also the feast of Our Lord’s Baptism and since Eoin was the only baby being baptised, the priest conducted the sacrament during the Sunday mass instead of afterwards as is normal. Eoin was as good as gold on the day and didn’t cry at the font. The robe, by the way, is the same one that I was christened in.
